Throughout the span of its history, The American Hellenic Educational Progressives Association (AHEPA) has served as a cornerstone for the development and the integration of American citizens of Greek heritage into societies leadership roles in government, business, education and the arts. AHEPA is the largest and oldest grassroots association of American citizens of Greek heritage and Philhellenes with more than 400 chapters across the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Ahepa Chapter 456 was founded December 22nd, 1975 by a group of community members who recognized the need for a local chapter in the North Hempstead area. Since then we have continued to grow as a chapter, and nonprofit, serving our mission and making an impact locally and globally.
